FIFA: Keep the World in the World Cup

FIFA has promised a safe, welcoming and ‘inclusive’ tournament through its Human Rights Framework. But under U.S. President Donald Trump, harsh anti-human rights rhetoric and immigration policies are creating fear instead.

With less than 100 days until kick-off, escalating attacks on immigrants and threats to press freedom and peaceful protest signal a tournament heading in the wrong direction.

Olympics: Open a safe hotline for athletes to report abuse

The Sport & Rights Alliance’s report on abuse in Indian wrestling shows once again that when athletes facing abuse often have nowhere to turn – especially when the perpetrators are powerful sports officials who are well-connected with national governments.

Join the #Hello??? Campaign to call on the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to establish a safe, trauma-informed hotline where athletes can seek help and report abuse without fear of retaliation.

France: Ensure the joy of sport for all

In France, home to the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, countless Muslim women and girls are being excluded from basketball and other sports just because of their choice to wear the hijab.

The effect of these bans is that women athletes from the Olympics’ own host nation are discriminated against and prevented from exercising their human rights, and that Muslim women and girls in France who choose to wear the hijab will never be able to qualify for the Games, given that they are excluded even at youth and recreational levels.

Sign this petition to demand that the French Basketball Federation and the French Ministry of Sport listen to the voice of rights-holders and take action against discrimination.
