Privacy and Cookie policy for the website of the UNI Global Union (Sport and Rights Alliance)

Your online privacy is important to UNI Global Union. This policy governs all pages hosted by UNI Global Union. It does not apply to pages hosted by other organisations, including our affiliates, which have their own privacy policies.

UNI Global Union may use the information it collects about you to better understand how its website is used, to send you information about UNI Global Union you have requested or that may be considered of interest to you.

 What identifiable information is collected from you?

The type and amount of information received and stored by UNI Global Union depends on how you use the website. You can access most UNI Global Union pages without stating who you are and without revealing any personal information.

UNI Global Union does not collect information identifying you personally (such as your name, address, phone number or e-mail address) unless that information is voluntarily disclosed. There are instances where UNI Global Union requests information that does identify you personally for the purpose of providing you with specific services or of corresponding with you. We will retain your personal data as follows:

(a)        Usage Data will be retained for a maximum of 3 years since your personal data was last logged on the website;

(b)        Enquiry Data will be retained for a minimum period of 12 months following the submission on the enquiry and for a maximum period of 2 years following submission on the enquiry;

(c)        Correspondence Data will be retained for a minimum period of 12 months following the date of submission, and for a maximum period of 3 years following last correspondence.

How does UNI Global Union use the information?

UNI Global Union does not distribute, sell or rent user information to anyone. UNI Global Union uses the information collected about you to improve its understanding of web visitors and to send information that you have requested or that may be considered of interest to you. Some information identifying website users is forwarded to third parties for purely technical and administrative processing. These parties are not authorized to distribute, sell or rent user information.

Who is collecting the information?

Any personal information that you disclose on the UNI Global Union website is shared only with UNI Global Union, unless stated otherwise.

Security of personal data

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. 

Your data is held on our website on UNIPRODB01 secure and is based in Western Europe and owned by Microsoft. The data is not accessible or used by the server company. Find the relevant Privacy Policy here.

Your data is also stored on secure computers in our offices in Nyon, Switzerland.

Your name and email is also stored in Campaign Monitor which is the email system we use to send you information on events and policy updates. Again, Campaign Monitor do not use or share your data with anyone else. Find Campaign Monitor’s Privacy Policy here.

We do not store paper copies of your data.

With whom may UNI Global Union share the data?

As a general rule, UNI Global Union will not disclose any information identifying you personally, except with your permission or where required by law.

What choices are available to you regarding collection, use and distribution of the data?

Any information on UNI Global Union products that you register to receive will be sent to you electronically or by other means. On some UNI Global Union website pages you are invited to indicate whether you are interested in receiving information via e-mail about UNI Global Union. You will not be placed on any mailing list if you do not select this option.
